IWEP Party Secretary Chen Guoping presides over the closing ceremony, and IWEP Deputy Director Yao Zhizhong chairs the third session "TPP and RCEP: competition and complementarity". A number of IWEP researchers participate in the Forum. This Forum provides a platform for high-level dialogue and exchanges. In-depth discussions lead to better understanding of Asia-Pacific regional integration among scholars of different countries. Regional trade and investment agreements are conducive to expanding market size, furthering division of labor and specialization, and promoting long-term economic growth for the purpose of improving the welfare of peoples. High level, cross-border academic exchanges is undoubtedly useful in expanding research horizons and exploring research potential, therefore promoting cooperation and understanding among different think tanks and academic institutions, which would in turn help to provide valuable advices for governments and policy makers, thus playing an important and constructive role for the development of regional integration and cooperation.
