LIAO Fan

　　LIAO Fan is Director-General and a senior fellow at the Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). He is also a full professor at the CASS University. He obtained his BA in Law at China Youth University of Political Studies, LLM at Southern Methodist University, and PhD in Law at Peking University. He was a visiting scholar at Columbia University Law School from 2006 to 2007. His major fields of research include fundamental theory of international law, international economic law, and banking and financial law.

　　He has published several books, including Legal Issues Regarding the Reform of the International Monetary and Financial System, and The Practical Development and Institutional Innovation of the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone. He has also published more than 100 articles, essays and comments on leading Chinese and oversea law journals and newspapers such as Social Sciences in China, Chinese Journal of Law, China Legal Science, People’s Daily, China Daily, and European Business Organization Law Review.
